We understand that plans can change. Each property on TropicalSense has its own cancellation policy, which is clearly displayed before you complete your booking. Below are the standard cancellation policy types used on our platform.

Flexible

Best for travelers who value flexibility.

  • Full refund if cancelled at least 24 hours before check-in
  • No refund for cancellations within 24 hours of check-in

Moderate

A balanced option for most travelers.

  • Full refund if cancelled at least 5 days before check-in
  • 50% refund if cancelled between 2-5 days before check-in
  • No refund for cancellations within 48 hours of check-in

Strict

For properties with high demand or special circumstances.

  • 50% refund if cancelled at least 7 days before check-in
  • No refund for cancellations within 7 days of check-in

How to Cancel a Booking

  1. Sign in to your account
  2. Go to "My Bookings" from your dashboard
  3. Select the booking you wish to cancel
  4. Click "Cancel Booking" and confirm

Refunds are processed automatically based on the property's cancellation policy. Refunds typically appear in your account within 5-10 business days, depending on your payment provider.

Extenuating Circumstances

In rare cases, we may provide exceptions to the standard cancellation policy for:

  • Natural disasters affecting the destination
  • Government travel restrictions or advisories
  • Documented medical emergencies
  • Death of the guest or immediate family member

If you believe you qualify for an exception, please contact us with supporting documentation.

Host Cancellations

If a host cancels your booking, you will receive a full refund regardless of the cancellation policy. We take host reliability seriously and work to minimize cancellations.
